Planning a wedding is one of the dreamiest things! Every single one is different and unique to that couple. Imagine taking it a step further and getting married in your favorite destination! Ah! Gives me chills!

To start planning a destination wedding, creating a checklist will make the process go so much smoother! First thing you need to start with is…

HIRE A WEDDING PLANNER

Hiring a wedding planner is going to cut your “to-dos” in half. Your wedding planner is going to be your best friend. They know the ins and outs of a destination wedding how to, so trust them!

CHOOSE A LOCATION

A good rule to go by when picking a location is visit before the wedding! Check out the area, resort (if staying at a resort), local vendors (using local vendors can be cheaper!), amenities and excursions that your guests will have access to and pick a location for the ceremony! TRAVEL AGENT

A travel agent can be a HUGE help to your guests! They can help book their trip or find additional activities to participate in! Make sure to send your wedding invitations early so guests have time to plan and budget!

HIRE A PHOTOGRAPHER AND/OR A VIDEOGRAPHER

Book a wedding photographer and videographer from your area of residence that you trust and have seen their photos to fly to your destination to capture the trip of a lifetime!

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL YOUR DOCUMENTS

Work on getting all your documents ready EARLY! You’ll definitely need your passport, any insurance, and flight and booking information!! Research marriage requirements for that country – they can change at any time!
