Winter Wedding Ideas

November 28, 2022

Wedding Tips

Tis’ the season for cold weather, snow, and WEDDINGS! The deep winter months are the least popular for a wedding, BUT that should not stop you from having the perfect winter wonderland wedding. Guests are usually in the holiday spirit and ready to party at any minute, so why not a wedding? If you’re struggling to find some winter wedding ideas, struggle no more! Just keep reading!

WINTER INSPIRED COCKTAIL DRINKS

A fan-favorite! I’ve been looking at the best wedding cocktails for hours and I can’t pick favorites, so here’s a top-tier list of them from brides.com!(Link cocktail blog)

BLANKET PARTY FAVOR FOR GUESTS

Who doesn’t love blankets?! I said this in a previous blog (Items to Incorporate in your Fall Wedding), and I’ll say it again! Blankets are the PERFECT party favor for guests. You can use blankets all year round, especially on Football Sundays!

CONTROLLED EXIT

One of my favorite send-offs for a winter wedding is throwing snow confetti! You can even get biodegradable and flame resistant!

WINTER WEDDING FLORALS

There are so many seasonal flowers you could choose for your florals. Your wedding planner and florist are GREAT resources to you when deciding this!

VELVET BRIDESMAID DRESSES

To take your bridesmaid dresses to the next level, try velvet bridesmaid dresses! This will for sure make your photos pop!

BRIDAL DETAILS

The accessories you wear on your big day can say A LOT about the style you are going for. Try dramatic colorful shoes or a fur shawl! You can never go wrong with your bridal details. Let your personality show with this one!

DESTINATION WEDDING

If you live in a city like mine (Fayetteville, Arkansas), you don’t get snow very often, and when you do, you never know when it’s coming. If you’re wanting a winter wedding and all the weather that goes with it (AND GORGEOUS PHOTOS), consider a destination wedding to the mountains!
