There are SOOO many benefits of a bridal session… I said I would give you 5 benefits, but it was way too hard to narrow it down, so instead, you’ll be getting 5 benefits of a bridal session in every 1! Haha!

But what is a bridal session you may ask…?

PRACTICE ROUND FOR YOUR WEDDING DAY

A bridal session is the ULTIMATE practice round for your big day. You get the chance to do a trial run on your makeup, hair, taking photos in your dress, and so much more! A bridal session could also give you the chance to add more photos into your wedding album (read Importance of a Wedding Album) or get photos you know you won’t be able to get at the wedding!

BRING YOUR IMPORTANT PEOPLE/THINGS

Bring your mother and maid of honor with you – a trial run for them, too! Your mother can practice helping you put your dress on and buttoning you up, and your maid of honor can practice fluffing your train! You could also bring your fur babies to get photos with them if you can’t bring them to the ceremony.

GET COMFORTABLE WITH YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

OPTION TO USE ANOTHER LOCATION OTHER THAN YOUR VENUE

Some venues allow you to use their location on a previous day for your bridal session – which you can totally do, but a lot of brides will choose a second location, so they have completely different portraits than on their wedding day. If you already have that Pinterest-worthy location you’ve been dreaming of that you didn’t get to book for your wedding, book a bridal session with them!

SHAKE OFF JITTERS AND GAIN CONFIDENCE

A bridal session is a great way to help ease your nerves for the big day, especially in the bridal suite. Having that practice round (of everything prior to the ceremony) will most definitely help shake off those pre-wedding jitters and have you ready for the runway!
