I'm Shalae (pronounced Shuh-lay, I know it's a hard name!) I'm a wife, mom, and lover of light and fashion. After graduating college and not being able to find a job, I turned to my photography hobby and decided to go all in. This has been a long time coming and I'm just so excited you're here!
When people ask where I'm from, I have a hard time answering since I've lived in many places after growing up in a military family and moving around on my own after high school. I've lived in Washington, Oregon, Utah, Texas, Germany, New Mexico, and now Arkansas, and love to travel!
“This was our first time taking photos from a photographer so we were pretty nervous. However, Shalae is so warm and friendly and talked us through the whole thing and had us laughing the whole time.”

I love weddings that tell a story through the imagery. I strive to produce high-quality images with a film-emulated, editorial, yet timeless feel, while also making it fun and showing the happiness of your day.
My goal is to make you feel comfortable and help make your engagement and wedding experience as fun and stress-free as possible!
One of my biggest strengths is making you feel good before, during, and after your pictures. I'm here to be your number one hype girl from beginning to end. I strive to be courteous, kind, fun, and professional every moment.
I will help guide you on what to wear for your session, direct with posing, and encouraging you every step of the way with both candid and posed images.
My cute little family is my everything! My husband, Michael, and son, Renner, are my why. They both support me in everything I do and I'm forever grateful for them.
Michael and I have been married for 6 years and I just love getting to be a parent with him to our amazing son.
From the parks to the music to the movies, I love all things Disney! Both of my parents are from Orlando and my mom even drove the monorails at Walt Disney World! We grew up going to Walt Disney World and watching all the movies. My favorite princess is Belle and I have a goal to visit every Disney park in the world!
I'm a singer, and although I'm a bit rusty these days, I play piano, percussion, and flute, too. I started out as a vocal performance major in college and dreamed of being on Broadway! Music has always been a big part of my life.
I grew up in a small, country farm town and we only ever had fresh flowers for special occasions. That all changed when I started planning my own wedding. My mother-in-law is a florist and did our wedding flowers. I love florals and live for a big floral-filled wedding day.
I do love to drive, but I'll pick flying over a road trip any day so I can enjoy my destination longer. I've visited three continents so far and hope to add more in the near future. I studied anthropology (study of peoples and cultures) in college and love to delve deep into local traditions and cultures in every place I visit.
